Heritage session


A heritage session is more than a photoshoot. It's a document of who you were, together, at this exact moment in time. The age of your children right now. The way you hold each other. The home you live in. These are the images your family will return to in twenty years.

How it works


Before we meet, I'll send you a short questionnaire.

Not to organise you into a session plan, but to understand how your family actually lives. What your children love. What time of day they're most themselves. Whether your home has beautiful light or if a walk through your neighbourhood feels more like you.


On the day, I arrive quietly. We chat for a few minutes. And then I simply stay with you.


Special events, baptisms, birthdays, first days, on request.

Beyond the gallery


A private online gallery is where your images live. But an album is where they belong.


I offer fine art photo books, designed to be opened. Not stored on a hard drive, not forgotten in a folder. Printed on quality paper, bound, and made to last. The kind of object you leave on the coffee table and find your children looking through years later.


Some families choose one album for themselves. Others order copies for grandparents, for Christmas, for a first birthday. Every book is designed from your gallery, with intention.

Do you direct poses?

No. I guide you through natural activities and interactions. The goal is to document your family as you actually are, not a curated version of it.

Can we choose the location?

Absolutely!  I work primarily in Brussels. I'm happy to suggest locations, or we can work from yours.


FAQ

What if the children don't cooperate?

They always do, eventually, and the getting-there is often the best part. Snacks help. So does ignoring me.

How long does a heritage session last?

Sessions start at 2 hours, which is enough time for everyone to settle in and forget the camera is there.


For families who want more space and more images, a half-day session of 4 hours lets the story breathe a little longer.


We'll find the right format together depending on your family, your children's ages, and what you want to document.

How do I prepare for the session?

Once you book, I'll send you my 20-page family preparation guide. It covers everything from outfit colours to activities by age, timing, and what to expect on the day. By the time we meet, you'll feel completely at ease.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?

Yes. Overcast light is actually beautiful for film. We'll find the right timing together.

These sessions are about your story, your rhythms, your connections. Whether you're expecting a baby, welcoming a newborn, or simply cherishing the everyday with your little ones.


I also photograph the animals who share your life. Dogs, cats, and other companions are always welcome, because they are family too.


My role is not to direct, but to witness. To catch the light as it falls on your gestures. To preserve what's fleeting, without ever interrupting its truth.


Most outdoor sessions are shot on film. Because film slows everything down, including me. And that slowness shows in the images.


What matters most is that you feel seen. As you are, as you live.
